- Acquaints students with basic concepts and sources of crime analysis data and information. Topics covered include forecasting methods, statistical sampling and measurement, and data production and acquisition issues. The skills developed enable students to conduct an automated online search, print or download the data and analyze the data. Students are also able to undertake a hand search of hard copy sources in a standard library and prepare a computer-generated report using conventional word processing. Skills are applicable to fundamentals, descriptive statistics and researchmethods.
